Organizing classes on Quizlet software to support learning English vocabulary of primary school children aged 6 - 11

Abstract

This article reports on the implementation of Quizlet software, which emerges from the author’s teaching practice to students aged 6 - 11. The author has created a class on Quizlet software to support students’ self-study besides face-to-face class time with the teacher. The Quizlet application helps students to improve vocabulary retention in terms of meaning, pronunciation and spelling of lexical items they have learnt in class. This paper will provide insights into the benefits of Quizlet software and the application of the software in teaching and learning English.
