Developing criteria for selecting handouts exercises to enhance military content in English Writing 1 at Military Science Academy

Abstract

At Military Science Academy, Translation, which is taught to students majoring in English from the third year, is a difficult subject, requiring both teachers and learners to constantly   knowledgeand skills. With the characteristics of an military school and the increasingly demanding practice of the unit that employs officers who graduated from English majors in the whole army, the Academy has a policy to strengthen the military content in teaching and learning foreign languages. Accordingly, the training program requires to increase the military content in specific subjects and lessons in a reasonable, scientific and orderly manner, from basic to advanced. The selection of handouts exercises in English translation 1 is done according to that general trend. Within the scope of the article, on the basis of analyzing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the use of handouts exercises in English translation  1 at MilitaryScience Academy, the author proposes a number of criteria to enhance the military content in Englishlanguage translation 1 at Military Science Academy today.
