Using active learning methods in English teaching

Abstract

It is common that university students find it difficult to adapt to a new environment and find out effective methods to study English because they have to learn a lot of academic knowledge and skills, so their performance and results might not be really good during the first years of college. This paper aims to introduce one of the popular ways to study English – active learning, highlight its benefits, and also suggest several teaching methods in order to help students learn actively.
