Some issues in teaching Vietnamese to foreign students

Abstract

Teaching Vietnamese to foreigners has its own characteristics - teaching Vietnamese as a second language is quite different from teaching Vietnamese as a mother tongue language. This article proposes some points in teaching Vietnamese to foreigners: researching the characteristics of Vietnamese in relation to comparing similarities and differences with students' mother tongue; researching and teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language; Researching and teaching Vietnamese - teaching a language always needs to be in relationship with culture to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of teaching Vietnamese to foreign students.
