Analyze the solutions of some problems of finding medians and quartiles of grouped data samples

Abstract

The problem of finding the median and quartiles appeared in the 2018 high school education program, particularly in determining the median and quartiles of grouped data. Although there are formulas available for this purpose, many students encounter difficulties in identifying the group containing the median or groups containing the quartiles. Therefore, I chose the topic “ANALYSIS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS TO FIND THE MEDIAN AND QUARTILES OF GROUPED DATA” to assist students in solving these problems and to share insights with colleagues to contribute to the teaching profession.
