Activities to foster knowledge and teaching skills in Natural Sciences for teachers at secondary schools in Dong Thap province

Abstract

The implementation of the 2018 General Education/program has promoted the regular training of teachers to become more and more practical and in-depth. In Dong Thap province, from 2023, secondary school teachers have been coordinated by the Department of Education and Training with Dong Thap University to organize refresher courses to meet the requirements of the new program. Accordingly, the teachers will participate in fostering the knowledge content to teach the Natural Science subject in the direction of interdisciplinary integration. From practical research, interviews with questionnaires with a number of middle school administrators and teachers, the article would like to state the current situation of teacher training, compare it with the requirements and propose some solutions to improve the effectiveness of teacher training in the coming time.
