The article examines the current situation of building and developing intellectuals in Vietnam. The results show that, under the leadership of the Party, the building and development of intellectuals has been paid attention to and achieved many important achievements, the intellectuals have made positive contributions to the development of the country. However, the practice of building and developing intellectuals in Vietnam also arises many limitations and exists. The article also proposes some solutions to improve the efficiency of building and developing the intellectual contingent in Vietnam today.
