Some issues of compiling and teaching local literature in Thai Nguyen province

Abstract

In the General Education Program - Comprehensive program (December 2018), the Ministry of Education and Training has devoted a certain amount of time to local educational content. Specifically, at the elementary level, the time spent on local education is 1,225 hours, and at the junior high school level, the time spent on local education is 768 hours. Local educational content and local literature have a certain position. Local Literature has been introduced into teaching at the junior high school level in the general education system of Thai Nguyen province in recent years and has received a lot of attention. Along with that, Thai Nguyen is considered one of the localities that soon implemented teaching local literature and attaches great importance to the development of teaching local literature throughout the province. However, the implementation of teaching local literature (in the Local Education document) in Thai Nguyen province today, in addition to efforts to meet the target requirements of the new General Education program (program 2018), still reveals some limitations and inadequacies. The article initially points out the current situation and proposes some solutions to improve and enhance the quality of teaching and learning local literature in Thai Nguyen province.
