Applying Maple in teaching the concept of definite integrals

Abstract

Integral is one of the main contents taught in advanced mathematics courses for university students. Integral is one of the difficult contents, highly abstract and of little interest to students. Therefore, when teaching the concept of integral, it is necessary to have visual and vivid images to make the concept easy to understand. Maple is one of the software that can support this content very well. This article introduces the application of Maple software to teaching definite integrals at universities.
