Using images in 10th grade History textbooks to organize teaching to develop student competences

Abstract

Implementing the 2018 General Education Program, textbooks for History subject grade 10 at the high school level are compiled according to the orientation of developing student qualities and abilities with the image channels are identified as the main line in the lesson content besides text channels, questions and learning-oriented tasks for students. The research proposes a number of measures to exploit and use image channels in the 10th grade history textbook to organize teaching activities that will contribute to realizing the goals of the new general education program.
