Abstract

Fluency in English vocabulary is very important for both learners of English as a second language (ESL) or as a foreign language (EFL) or for those who are aiming to learn English professionally. ESP). This article introduces types of vocabulary and how to distinguish vocabulary as a means to raise awareness about the role of vocabulary in teaching English for Specific Purposes. It will show what types of vocabulary should be taught and how a lecturer handles vocabulary in the teaching process. The article also offers specific suggestions and considerations as well as how to deal with vocabulary in contexts.
