Using case study method in teaching High Voltage Electrical Engineering

Abstract
Engineering students are not only taught knowledge in books but also need to know how to apply it in practice. The case study method leads students to use acquired theoretical knowledge to apply in real problems. This article presents a case study method for selecting lightning protection options for high-rise buildings and how to choose a better solution to solve. Being taught how to apply theoretical knowledge to real problems, and being directly involved in solving problems, this method is more effective than traditional teaching.
