Applying Ho Chi Minh's thought on cadres in managing soldiers' ideology at grassroots units in the present context
Abstract
In grassroots units of the Vietnam People’s Army, ideological work and the management of soldiers' ideology play an extremely important role. It directly impacts the enhancement of political awareness, the firm consolidation of stances and viewpoints, and the nurturing and development of the fine qualities of ‘Uncle Ho’s soldiers,' contributing to the perfection of the revolutionary soldier's character. Furthermore, this work also helps to proactively prevent the degradation of political ideology, morality, and lifestyle among officers and soldiers. It contributes to building high solidarity and unity, eliminating manifestations of opportunism, pragmatism, vagueness, and complacency, thereby ensuring that the Army is always a political force, a combat force absolutely loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People, ready to complete all tasks, overcome all difficulties, and defeat all enemies. Currently, in the face of the 'peaceful evolution' schemes of hostile forces, the multi-dimensional impacts of the social environment on soldiers' ideology, and the requirements and tasks of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Army, grasping and managing ideology in grassroots units of the Army are both an important and urgent task. Therefore, studying and mastering the fundamental contents of Ho Chi Minh's thought on cadres is of great significance in managing soldiers' ideology in grassroots units of the Army today.
