Abstract

Recent studies have shown an increasing trend in the use of various harmful stimulants including alcoholic beverages, ethanol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and both traditional and synthetic drugs among children and adolescents. Today, the appeal and diversity of these substances in terms of form and accessibility, coupled with ease of use, have made young users more vulnerable to dependency. This poses unpredictable health risks and exerts negative impacts on their physical, mental, and psychological development, as well as their learning and working capacity across all age groups. This article focuses on analyzing the current situation regarding the use of stimulant-containing products among high school students in My Duc District, Hanoi City, including e-cigarette use, alcohol consumption, and drug use. It also proposes several solutions aimed at preventing and mitigating the use of harmful stimulants among students in this age group.
