Abstract

In the context of accelerating globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enhancing the international integration capacity of Vietnamese youth has become an urgent strategic requirement. As the vanguard force in socio-economic transformation, youth must be equipped with comprehensive knowledge, global skills, and adaptive capacity to meet the demands of international environments. This paper identifies current limitations and challenges faced by Vietnamese youth in the integration process and proposes a comprehensive set of feasible solutions. Five key areas of intervention are highlighted: (1) institutional and policy improvements to establish a favorable legal framework for youth integration; (2) reforming the education and training system to meet global standards, emphasizing foreign language proficiency, global citizenship education, and competency-based learning; (3) skill development initiatives focusing on digital literacy, critical thinking, leadership, and entrepreneurship; (4) enhancing communication strategies and access to accurate and diverse information on international integration opportunities; and (5) expanding international cooperation, including bilateral and multilateral youth exchange programs, joint research, and vocational training. These recommendations aim not only to empower youth as proactive agents in Vietnam’s integration journey but also to nurture a globally competent generation deeply rooted in Vietnamese identity. The paper calls for coordinated efforts from governmental agencies, youth organizations, educational institutions, and international partners to realize these goals sustainably.
