The press’s role in cultural revitalization and proposed solutions for innovating content and methods to enhance the role of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations' press in current cultural revitalization

Abstract

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) is a system of governing bodies with 68 press agencies and major press and information publications, with the function and task of uniting and gathering the scientific and technological intellectuals, coordinating the activities of member associations, being the focal point between agencies, organizations, representing the legitimate interests of member associations, solving common problems in the development of science and technology in Vietnam. In the context of globalization and international integration in the spirit of bringing Resolution 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation into life, cultural revival is not only the role and responsibility of the entire political system and state management agencies but also requires the active participation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations press as a means of scientific and mass communication with great influence on public opinion. The article synthesizes sources of documents, presents an analysis of the role of the press in the cultural revival and proposes some solutions to enhance the role of the press of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations in the current cultural revival.
