Abstract
Ho Chi Minh City possesses a rich and diverse array of natural and cultural resources. However, transforming these cultural values into products that can boost tourism is a complex challenge. In practice, tourism has been a pathway for many countries to invest in and exploit the economic value of cultural assets, thereby promoting the soft power of national and cultural identity. Concurrently, the value derived from the cultural industries also serves as a driving force for tourism development. This article aims to provide a perspective on how cultural industries can stimulate tourism development, drawing on lessons from Ho Chi Minh City.
