Abstract
During its operation, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts has received numerous artworks and collections from both domestic and international individuals and organizations. To enhance the quality and significance of these holdings, it is imperative to prioritize the role and importance of the records and documentation accompanying each artifact and collection within the museum’s collection. This article explores issues related to this critical aspect, drawing upon an analysis of the collection of paintings by artist Le Thi Luu, generously donated to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts by Mr Ngo The Tan, Mr Le Tat Luyen and Mrs Thuy Khue in 2018.
