Chùa Thanh Mai (Chí Linh, Hải Dương) trong không gian văn hóa Phật giáo Tây Yên Tử
Abstract
The Western Yen Tu Buddhist cultural space is located in the Bac Giang region, extending into parts of Hai Duong, within the western area of the Yen Tu mountain mountain. Alongside the Yen Tu, it forms a comprehensive picture of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect, highlighting its origins and the process of studying and propagating the Dharma. Thanh Mai Pagoda, a historical site associated with Phap Loa - the second patriarch of the Truc Lam Zen sect - may not be large, but its remaining physical artifacts provide valuable insights into the sect’s formation and development within the Western Yen Tu cultural space. This article explores the significance of the Buddhist heritage west of the Yen Tu mountain, tracing the Zen path followed by ancient masters and its continued relevance among contemporary Buddhists.
