Abstract

 In order to promote socio-economic development in the period 2021-2025 and to set development orientations towards 2030, our Party and State have issued numerous resolutions, decrees, and laws to create a legal framework aimed at boosting the country’s development in all fields. Among these, tourism is considered a key economic sector and a focal point for the development of all other industries. This article aims to explore and clarify the concept of tourism, smart tourism, and the current situation, thereby proposing several fundamental solutions to contribute to building and developing Vietnamese tourism into a key economic sector, in line with the country’s development orientation towards 2030 as outlined by the Party and State.
