Abstract
Filial piety stands out as a significant value within the Buddhist intangible culture of the Tran dynasty. This ideology uniquely blends Buddhist principles of filial piety with traditional Vietnamese beliefs and Confucian ethics, all within the socio-political context of the Tran dynasty. It can be said that, along with other Buddhist intangible cultural values of the Tran dynasty, filial piety still retains its value today. With an interdisciplinary approach encompassing Cultural Studies, History of Religion, and Value Studies, this study addresses: An overview of filial piety from the perspectives of Confucianism and Buddhism; Some manifestations of filial piety values of the Tran dynasty through some typical figures.
