Abstract
Copyright and related rights registration is not compulsory for the enjoyment and exercise of copyright. However, registration can be a useful tool to enforce, protect, and the transfer of copyright and related rights. Indeed, registration does not only record the information of copyright and related rights but also contribute to a transparent legal framework as well as promote the commercialization and protection of copyright assets. With that, from the overview of the current legislation of copyright and related rights registration, the authors bring up recommendations for improving the legal framework as well as the practice of the authorities on copyright and related rights registration.
