Abstract

The Bau Truc pottery craft, a UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage, is not only a cultural symbol of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan but also a significant potential for heritage economic development. This article analyzes the potential and development directions of the heritage economy from the Bau Truc pottery craft, based on international experiences and local practices. The authors emphasize the importance of building a systematic development strategy, connecting stakeholders, especially the subject community, and creating a heritage space to promote cultural values. The heritage economy not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, building local identity. However, the application of international experiences needs to be flexible, suitable to local specificities, and avoid mechanical copying.
