Abstract
The Ho Chi Minh Campaign was the final campaign of the South Vietnam Liberation Army during the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising. The campaign took place over a short period (from April 26 to April 30, 1975), but had immense significance: The Vietnamese people fully realized President Ho Chi Minh’s guiding ideology; successfully concluding the resistance war against the Americans, saving the country, unifying the Fatherland, and leading the entire nation firmly towards socialism. Half a century has passed, and the Ho Chi Minh Campaign remains the pinnacle of victory in revolutionary warfare, etched into the history of Vietnam’s resistance against foreign invasion as its most glorious pages. The decision to launch the Ho Chi Minh Campaign demonstrated the strategic vision and art of ending the war by the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the General Headquarters; at the same time, it was the crystallization and shining of the unique military cultural values of the Vietnamese people throughout thousands of years of history. This article analyzes the Vietnamese military cultural values that crystallized and shone in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign of 1975.
