Abstract
In the era of globalization, “soft power”- a concept introduced by Joseph Nye that emphasizes attraction rather than coercion - has become a core element in international relations. Vietnam has proactively embraced this concept by emphasizing cultural soft power as a key tool to enhance its national image and international standing. This article highlights the role of culture as an effective instrument of diplomacy, helping to build the nation’s image and foster international relationships. It also points out the challenges Vietnam currently faces. At the same time, the article proposes solutions to promote cultural soft power, including enhancing cultural exchanges, investing in cultural media centers, engaging in strategic cooperation with other countries.
