Abstract

Vietnam’s documentary heritage is extremely rich and exists across many different settings. It is preserved, safeguarded, and promoted by state institutions such as libraries, museums, and archival centers, as well as in places of worship, clan ancestral houses, and private collections. Therefore, strengthening the legal framework for the protection and promotion of documentary heritage is especially important, particularly in the case of clan and family relic sites, in order to preserve and further enrich the nation’s cultural heritage.
