Abstract
Abstract The article studies the development of typical festivals in Dong Thap province today from the perspective of green tourism and sustainable development principles. The study identifies the cultural, economic, social and environmental values of the festival, and pointing out current limitations such as commercialization, waste pollution, and limited community participation. It then proposes strategies for “greening” festival through product linked to local resources, rational space planning, strengthening co-management, ensuring clean environmental management, and implementing green awareness education and communication campaigns. These efforts aim to harmonize heritage conservation with sustainable tourism development in Dong Thap province.
