Abstract
Xoan singing is a kind of customary folk song with the belief that the Hung Kings are the gods who bless the villagers when each spring brings good things, warmth, happiness. With the scope of research is xoan An Thai village (Van Phu, Phu Tho), the article highlights the characteristics of xoan’s lyrics and music as a unique type of folk song that is facing a drastic change of the new social context, new people ... An Thai village xoan singing also has changes in lyrics and music and some of their changes in the new performance environment to preserve and develop xoan singing before today’s life.
