Abstract

Reading culture plays an important role in the formation of knowledge, thinking andpersonality of students, especially in the context of the strongly developing information technology era. Thisarticle analyzes the current status of reading culture of students at three universities: Hanoi Law University,University of Labor and Social Affairs, and National Economics University, through a field survey with aquestionnaire. The survey results show outstanding characteristics, such as the trend of reading e-books,the habit of fast reading, and the formulas of distraction from social networks. On that basis, the articleproposes strategic solutions to preserve and promote reading culture in the information technology era, contributing to improving the quality of education and comprehensive development of students in Hanoi.
