Abstract
In Vietnam, sustainable tourism development is a core principle, closely linked to
environmental protection, cultural heritage preservation, and the promotion of responsible tourism.Sustainable travel behavior helps minimize negative impacts and supports a balanced development betweeneconomic, social, and environmental aspects. In the new context, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism consumption behavior has changed significantly. Domestic tourism has increased, whileinternational travel has declined; personal vehicles are preferred over public transportation; and the demandfor open spaces and health safety has become a priority. These changes may be temporary or long-term, directly affecting the sustainable development of the tourism industry. This study aims to analyze the changesin tourism behavior in Vietnam, explore their causes and impacts, and propose solutions for promotingsustainable tourism development in the future.
