Abstract

In the context of the strong development of digital technology and social media, Vietnamese artists are actively promoting their personal brands, building their images, enhancing interaction, and maintaining the affection and loyalty of a large public audience. However, alongside these benefits, artists are facing numerous challenges and legal issues, including violations related to speech, misleading advertising, controversies in charitable activities, or sharing inaccurate information. These issues negatively impact the public and the artists’own personal brands. This article provides the political and legal foundations for artists’ activities on social media in Vietnam, encompassing the Party’s guidelines and orientations, as well as current legal regulations and the State’s management policies related to the activities of Vietnamese artists on social media.
