Abstract
2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the development of Vietnam’s cultural sector, a journey intrinsically linked to protecting the fatherland, preserving national identity, and building the spiritual foundation and driving force for the nation’s progress. In this ongoing flow, cultural industries are emerging as a new dynamic force, not only promoting creative economic growth but also helping to affirm the country’s position on the global cultural map. This article proposes a new approach to perfecting the institutional framework for cultural industries development as the nation enters a new era of prosperity and strength. It points out specific strengths, such as a creative community spirit and flexible adaptability, while also clarifying systemic weaknesses like the lack of intermediary institutions and the absence of mechanisms to transform creative will into policy and market reality. Based on this analysis, the article provides policy recommendations to create a self-evolving cultural industries ecosystem that is connected to national identity and is globally competitive.
