Abstract
Ca Hue is a form of performing art that holds significant historical, cultural, scientific, and economic value. In 2015, the Vietnamese government officially recognized Ca Hue as a national intangible cultural heritage. From the theoretical perspective of community-based heritage safeguarding, local communities have demonstrated autonomy, initiative, active participation, and practical engagement in the preservation and transmission of this heritage, in coordination with the state and various community stakeholders. This article proposes a number of solutions to strengthen the role of the community in the protection and promotion of Ca Hue, aiming toward a comprehensive community development program in the future.
