Abstract
The article presents proposals for improving the training program of LIS major in the context of digital transformation, in order to meet the requirements of standardizing professional competencies and adapting to the digital environment and artificial intelligence. Based on the Foundational Knowledge Framework published by IFLA in 2022 and the 5S model, the article builds a program structure consisting of 5 core subject groups. The subjects are described in detail, integrating traditional knowledge with modern technology, emphasizing the role of digital competencies, data, service innovation and information ethics. The research results are a reference for the innovation of training programs in Information and Library Science in Vietnam, towards international integration.
