Sự chuyển đổi không gian thực hành hát xoan từ làng cổ sang không gian đô thị tại Việt Trì, Phú Thọ
Abstract
The article analyzes the spatial transformation of xoan singing in Phu Tho province within the context of urbanization in Viet Tri city (before). The study aims to identify the shift from traditional spaces (temples, communal houses, original Xoan guilds) to urban contexts (squares, parks, schools, tourism) and to assess its impact on the authenticity and sacredness of the heritage. The research primarily employs secondary sources and comparative analysis, combined with the SWOT framework to clarify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Findings show that xoan is a highly adaptive heritage in new social spaces but still faces risks of commercialization and ritual distortion. Accordingly, the article proposes a “dual preservation” model to maintain ritual spaces while adapting to urban contexts, thereby providing both scientific and practical grounds for policies on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Vietnam.
