Abstract

In urban areas in Vietnam in recent years, whenever there is heavy rain, flooding has become more and more frequent, seriously affecting the environment and people's activities. It is essential for urban areas in Vietnam to have pavement structural solutions capable of draining surface water to reduce flooding, environmental pollution and increase urban groundwater levels.

Currently in the world there are products of permeable concrete bricks, also known as drainage concrete in general, and permeable self-inserting bricks in particular, that have been produced and used by many countries around the world for decades. before. However, this product currently has disadvantages in terms of water drainage ability and product durability due to the hydration of the material when water seeps through and the saturation of the underlying soil, which reduces the bearing capacity of the soil. . Smart water harvesting bricks combined with water drainage through wells without affecting the road foundation are the solution to completely overcome those disadvantages.
