Abstract

The basic features of high-strength concrete reinforced with polypropylene (PP) fibers are determined by the experimental results presented in this article. In order to address the issue of limited sand supplies, the concrete composition is composed of materials from the Mekong Delta region. The concrete that was surveyed is of high strength and has a concrete grade of B50. In order to enhance the properties of concrete when employing local materials, the PP fiber content was examined in a range of 0 to 2.5% by volume. Fine estuary sand and fly ash were local materials that were incorporated into the concrete composition under investigation. Experimental results show that B50 concrete reinforced with 2% PP fibers, fine estuary sand, and fly ash has the best mechanical properties.
