Human resource management project management in construction industry: challenges and opportunities of industrial revolution 4.0

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is creating dramatic changes in the construction industry, especially in project management human resource management. The emergence of technologies such as BIM, AI, IoT and Big Data not only optimizes the workflow but also poses new requirements for the human resource team. This study synthesizes existing documents, analyzes the challenges and opportunities in human resource management under the impact of Industry 4.0 technology, and proposes a human resource management model with three main pillars: technology application, human resource capacity development and project management process optimization. The research results not only clarify the research gap but also suggest new development directions to improve the effectiveness of human resource management in the modern construction industry.
