Assessing the current status of applying infrastructure technical information modeling (BIM) in the management and operation of transportation infrastructure projects

In recent years, with the rapid development of investment in infrastructure construction in Vietnam such as: focusing on developing highways, ..., traffic infrastructure management is one of the industries that receives much attention from investors as well as related units. However, there are still many existing problems that hinder the processes such as the lack of synchronization of completion information, difficulties in management, updating information during operation or lack of application of information technology (IT) support. The main purpose of the study is to assess the current status of information technology application in current operation management processes through a survey of experts in the industry, the study will explore the current completion information transfer process and the need for IT applications to support the management and operation of traffic works.
