Research on creating bricks alumosilicat material from clay in Chi Linh, Hai Phong city by un-roasted method

Abstract

Unburnt bricks alumosilicat was made by kaolin, clay and fireclay. Effect of composition and particle size of clay on the strength of the bricks were studied. The strength was tested using the E156 machine from Matest, the contruction was examined by Infrared spectroscopy (IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that the material that contains 85% fireclay, 2 % kaolin, 13 % clay was the highest strength. The material was the highest strength when particle size of clay ≤ 0.15 mm.
