Analysis of the solution of cement - sand piles in the soft ground reinforcement of Can Tho area

Abstract

The content of this article focuses on researching the soft ground improvement by cement-sand piles. At first, the plate load test was carried out to study the load bearing capacity of soft ground reinforced by the cement-sand piles. Based on the back analysis of results of the plate load test, the simulation by Plaxis 3D Foundation was carried out to study the load bearing capacity of cement-sand piles. Moreover, the applicability of cement-sand piles in the soft ground reinforcement of Can Tho was examined.
