Analyzing the importance of indices for assessing the quality of communication between parties in construction projects
Abstract
In the construction industry, the effectiveness and quality of information exchange among stakeholders directly impact the success of a project. Although some studies have addressed the importance of the quality of information exchange, there are very few studies on developing this set of indicators. The aim of the research is to identify the indicators for evaluating the quality of information exchange among participants in a construction project, and to analyze and assess the importance of these indicators. Based on the literature review, analysis of data from 109 surveys, and direct interviews with 5 experts with over 15 years of experience in the construction field, who regularly interact and exchange information with project participants, the study identified 14 important indicators. Among these, indicators such as Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, and Timeliness of information were highly rated for their significant impact on the quality of information exchange.
