Management of variations in design - build project in Vietnam using bim 360 docs

Abstract

Design-build projects are increasingly being replicated in construction projects in Vietnam by reducing the risk between project information exchange and better output quality control by variation management. However, there are still many problems related to the coordination as well as the asynchrony of coordination in construction, problems related to building a common data environment (CDE) and a technology platform protocol. BIM 360 Docs is a tool to support the construction process and submit, handover, collaborate, and share related project document information on a CDE. The main purpose of the research is (1) to assess the status of the arising management process in current enterprises and (2) to propose the BIM 360 Docs application process as well as the BIM process into variation management. Research to evaluate the emergent change process being used at construction companies by surveying experts in the construction field, after which a BIM 360 Docs application process will be proposed to standardize current processes to improve management, thereby building the right strategy to improve construction efficiency based on the BIM platform.
