Plan of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from construction industry

Abstract

Decree No. 06/2022/ND-CP stipulates that the fields within the scope of management of the Construction industry (Industrial processes, energy consumption in cement production, Buildings) shall reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 74.3 million tons of CO₂ equivalent (CO_2eq) compared to the Business-As-Usual emissions scenario (BAU) by 2030. This article synthesizes research, evaluation, and identification of potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and identifying feasible solutions and implementation plans for the construction industry to achieve emission reductions as prescribed.
