Abstract

Spatial grid is a structural system consisting of linked bars at nodes, working based on a spatial framework. As the spatial grid has its high formability and its components are small in size, thereby being suitable for mass production and manageable to assemble. Nonetheless, for the projects having complex and large-sized spatial grid systems with high precision installation requirements, the selection of appropriate erection methods is crucial in order to ensure the construction project quality assurance, safety, progress and economic efficiency.
