Research in designing and manufacturing of concrete 3D printer

Abstract

Concrete 3D printing technology is a typical representative of the construction industry in applying thetechnology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to construction process. For the success of the concrete 3Dprinting technique in manufacturing components that have both good load capacity and architectural, aestheticshapes, a concrete 3D printer is the most crucial tool. This paperpresents the research outcomes for design andmanufacture of a typical large-scale concrete 3D printer which has overall dimensions of 4,92x2,53x2,53 mand can be used to print a structural concrete component with the size of 1,8x1,8x2,5 m. This is the first 3Dconcrete printer product of Vietnam.
