Abstract

Applying Green Construction Site (GCS) construction criteria is a trend that is gaining attention globally. However, the implementation and organization of GCS has not been applied effectively in Vietnamese construction projects because there are no specific criteria in evaluation. This study was conducted to analyze the importance of GCS criteria in Ho Chi Minh City. The Relative Importance Index (RII) method is used to rank the performance level of 20 green site assessment criteria. Research results show that the criterion “Compliance with standards of labor safety and environmental sanitation on construction sites” is paid attention to and best implemented by contractors and investors. The second ranking criterion is “There are effective measures to ensure safety for workers”, followed by “Training knowledge of labor safety and environmental hygiene for employees”. And the three least important criteria are: “Using environmentally friendly materials”; “Use recyclable materials”; “Use natural/renewable energy”.
