Abstract

In construction, when implementing information management using Building Information Modelling (BIM), all relevant parties in any project or asset must collaborate within the Common Data Environment (CDE), which is the agreed source of information for collecting, managing, and disseminating Information Containers (ICs). Therefore, this article focuses on elucidating the collaborative communication relationships within CDE among parties and particularly establishing the procedure for delivering ICs in CDE. The research results provide detailed information on the correlation between Appointing Party, Lead Appointed Party, and Appointed Party as well as the procedure for delivering ICs within each party’s CDE and between parties’ CDE when applying BIM.
