Investigating factors influencing the quality management process of materials in construction projects.

Abstract

The quality of construction projects is an issue that always receives significant attention from the society, as it directly impacts socioeconomic efficiency and ensures sustainable development. This study aims to identify the most important factors affecting the quality management of materials, thereby improving the quality management process. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify the factors influencing the quality management of materials. This list was then reviewed and supplemented through interviews with experts in the field. Subsequently, a survey involving 130 construction practitioners was conducted to assess the impact levels of these factors. The paper identified and evaluated the factors affecting the quality management of materials, and therefore, can be a useful reference in the construction field. The paper contributed valuable knowledge to the construction field through an empirical study of the factors affecting the quality management of materials.
