Landslide susceptibility in Ta Xua commune, Bac Yen district, Son La province and possible affects on construction works

Abstract

The landslide susceptibility map of Ta Xua commune, Bac Yen district, Son La province was constructed using the logistic regression method. This is a simple statistical method and has been widely applied in the establishment of landslide susceptibility maps. In this paper, six factors promoting the landslide process were applied in the study area including: Slope, strata distribution, average annual rainfall, distance to faults, distance to roads, and land use. At the same time, the input data also included 54 landslide points identified through field surveys.
